Matthew Chalmers

Matthew is the PR Coordinator at The Humane League UK. He has worked in the animal rights movement for 4 years, first as a freelance journalist publishing articles in Sentient Media and Current Affairs, before assuming his current role in 2021. Matthew’s press and celebrity outreach have brought the work of THL UK to millions of people. He went vegetarian in 2015 and vegan in 2020. His university education in history and Egyptology is reflected in his love of writing and fascination with the different ways people have conceptualised animals, and people, in the past.
