Hannah Yates

Hannah is Head of Communications for The Humane League UK, an animal protection charity working to end the abuse of animals raised for food, rated Top Charity by Animal Charity Evaluators. Hannah has been working in animal advocacy for 9 years in roles including supporter engagement, press & PR, and digital comms. Her and her team’s work focusses on harnessing support for their campaigns which influence the policies of the world’s biggest companies, demand legislation, and empower people to take action for animals. Their animal advocacy reaches millions of people through regular mentions in national newspapers, online, and on social media. Growing up in a rural area of France as a vegetarian made her think about her relationship with animals very early on, encouraging her to do as much as she could to minimise their suffering. This led her to volunteering for animals, a career in animal protection, and a dedication to veganism.
