Claire Palmer is founder and director of Animal Justice Project. She has been fighting for animal rights for over 20 years within nonprofits across the UK, in the areas of campaigns and investigations.
Claire Palmer is founder and director of Animal Justice Project. She has been fighting for animal rights for over 20 years within nonprofits across the UK, in the areas of campaigns and investigations. Claire is a zoologist with a masters degree in animal behaviour & welfare, specialising in the commercial exploitation of wild animals. She has managed investigations on animals in laboratories within the UK, Africa, Asia, and on UK farms; as well as carried out field investigations herself at aquariums, European zoos and circuses. Claire has spearheaded ground-breaking campaigns within several leading UK-based animal rights NGOs. Her work at Animal Justice Project has been featured in the Mail Online, The Times, The Ecologist, BBC News, ITV and other national media outlets. Claire spends much of her time outside work continuing to campaign for animal liberation. She lives in the south west of England with her companion dog, Greta.
